State update: positive COVID-19 test rate across NY is 2.68% of 93K+ tests

ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Governor Andrew Cuomo provided an update on New York state’s COVID-19 numbers on Sunday.

Total COVID hospitalizations stand at 738 across the state.

2.68% of the 93,818 COVID tests reported Saturday were positive.

There were nine fatalities from COVID in the most recent statewide summary.

68.6% of adult NYers have completed their COVID vaccine series (per CDC) while 75.4% have received at least one vaccine dose.

40,880 doses of the vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours.

22,295,684 doses of the vaccine have been administered to date in New York state.
