Strong Memorial and Highland Hospitals expanding visitation Wednesday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital are expanding visitation beginning Wednesday at 8 a.m.

The hospitals put temporary visitor restrictions in place on Jan. 20.

The hospitals will start allowing two designated visitors per an inpatient’s stay, with only one visitor permitted per day, and Strong and Highland are both suspending their four-hour limit for visits.

The Emergency Department will permit one visitor per patient when capacity allows for adequate social distancing.

URMC is advising visitors to check Strong’s website or Highland’s before visiting.
