GENESEO, N.Y. (WHEC) — SUNY Geneseo Men’s Hockey is D3 Semifinal bound for the fourth time in history when they head to Lake Placid for Friday’s showdown against the University of New England.

They punched their ticket after a 3-2 win over Babson this weekend, their 23rd win of the year and the fifth in a row Knights have scored 22 goals in the last four games.

Senior defenseman and Pittsford native, Chris Perna said the cancelations of last year didn’t disrupt their mojo this season.

“We’ve done our best to keep that culture going and keep that tradition alive,” Perna said. “I think this team has done a really good job of that. And we’ve matched really well together and last year not having a season really hurt. And I think everyone came back really hungry and really wanting to play. And I think you can just see that there are play in the last few games as we’re down to the wire now and it’s do-or-die and you can tell the boys really want it and we’ve been playing with that intensity.”
