Suspect in custody for stabbing on Dewey Ave that left a man seriously injured

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police have a suspect in custody who they say stabbed a 30-year-old man on Monday morning, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Shadarea Flemings, a 28-year-old woman, was taken into custody after an investigation into the stabbing. She is charged with assault and was taken to Monroe County Jail. Police said the case is domestic related.

Police responded to Rochester General where the stabbing victim walked in around 3 a.m. They learned the stabbing itself happened on Dewey Avenue.
