PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC)— A portion of East Jefferson Road is back open Friday morning after a crash sent two people to the hospital.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on East Jefferson (Route 96) at Knickerbocker Road.

Deputies say a driver hit a power line pole and crashed into the trees to the north of the road. The crash took out several power lines along the road. They believe the driver fell asleep while driving.
