Teenager shot in Rochester, police say

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in Rochester around 9:45 p.m. on Monday. The shooting happened at Backus Street and Phelps Avenue.

Officers responded to and found evidence of a shooting outside the Edgerton Recreation Center. The teen was treated at Rochester General Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police haven’t made any arrests and are investigating.
