The Chilly Weather Will Not Last

For now, some of the coolest weather of the season has moving into Western New York. Today brought a gusty wind and temperatures only in the 50s. Some spots even saw a passing lake effect rain shower, especially east of Rochester. This was the first day in over two weeks with below normal temperatures as most of us have enjoyed some very mild weather. The winds will diminish this evening, but the chill will remain as the mercury will fall into the mid to upper 40s. Another lake effect shower will be possible later tonight.

The jacket will be needed once again for Monday. Expect another day with a busy northwester wind. It will be blustery with the temperature will remaining in the low to mid 50s. Look for another lake effect rain shower for the morning with partial sunshine developing for the afternoon. However, the News10NBC First Alert weather team is forecasting a significant change for mid-week. Tuesday and Wednesday will usher in noticeably warmer weather with the temperature rising into the mid to upper 60s. You can expect more sunshine and a general return to much nicer weather for Western New York.
