The Little Theatre’s Black Cinema Series highlights ‘Ailey’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Black Cinema Series at the Little Theatre in Rochester returned in August with “Ailey”.

The movie is about Alvin Ailey, an artist who found salvation through dance.

The series is a collaboration between the Little and the Rochester Association of Black Journalists (RABJ).

“Ailey” played on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Little’s historic Theatre One. The screening was followed by a panel discussion.
