DALLAS, TX (WHEC/NBC) — Over the weekend, Southwest Airlines canceled more than 1,800 flights impacting thousands of passengers.
The airline blamed initial problems on bad weather and a "Federal Aviation Administration-imposed air traffic management program."
However, other airlines canceled relatively few flights. Southwest is not commenting on the disagreement.
The FAA says there have been no air traffic-related cancellations since Friday, but that some flight crews and planes have not been available.
