Train hits unoccupied pickup truck on tracks

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A train going over the Joseph overpass collided with a pickup truck on the tracks. There was no one inside the vehicle at the time.

The collison happened near the Amtrak station in Rochester at about 6:30 a.m. on Friday. No one was in the Chevrolet Silverado at the time, and it was stuck on the tracks as the passing train hit it.

We overheard the CSX teams on scene say that the driver of the truck is okay and is currently at the station.
