Troopers: Driver injured after pickup truck hit by train in Macedon

MACEDON, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State Police say the driver of a pickup truck is injured after the vehicle was hit by a train in Macedon, Wayne County on Monday night.

It happened on Wayneport Road just before 6 p.m.

Troopers say the pickup driver went through the railway crossing gates into the path of a CSX train.

News10NBC crews spotted a pickup truck with damage to its bed and to its front being taken away on a flatbed truck at around 8 p.m. Monday.

Troopers say the driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries but is expected to survive.

Troopers said more information will be released when it becomes available.
