LIMA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The woman who was rescued from a house fire in Lima Tuesday has died.

New York State Police say Cynthia Chambery, 67, died at Strong Memorial Hospital after she was brought there with serious injuries.

The fire happened at a home on Pond Road. Chambery and one other person were inside the house at the time.

The other resident was in the garage and was able to get out safely.

Troopers say a neighbor helped get Chambery out.
