The Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of Heine and will conduct an autopsy. Currently, there is no indication of foul play.

Rochester Regional Health released the following statement:

“Earlier today we learned police found the body believed to be that of our dear friend and colleague Keri Heine. Keri had been missing since July 10. She was a devoted nurse at Rochester General Hospital for 11 years.

Her colleagues are coming together to remember her at a candlelight vigil at the front loop of RGH Thursday night at 8 p.m. Additionally, both RGH and Unity Hospital will have their exterior lights glowing green, Keri’s favorite color, starting Thursday night through Sunday.

We recognize how difficult this is for all our colleagues who loved her, so we are providing grief support for those who need it.
We send our deepest sympathies and healing thoughts to Keri’s family and friends during this time of great loss.”

A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday night at 8 p.m. Those who would like to attend should park at the front loop of RGH.
