HIGHLAND PARK, ILL. (WHEC) – More than 100 people gathered on Saturday morning for a vigil and walk to honor the victims of the Highland Park shooting.
Police say the 21-year-old suspect, Robert Crimo III, claimed the lives of seven people and injured more than 40 others during a mass shooting at the Chicago suburb’s 4th of July parade. Many victims are still at hospitals across the Chicago area in critical condition.
Community members will continue to mourn the lives lost with memorials, candlelight vigils, and flowers on Saturday and Sunday.
