WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Let there be light, sort of. Some fans watching a high school hockey rivalry game between Webster Schroeder and Webster Thomas had to get a little creative when the power went out Saturday night.
In a picture posted to the Thomas Hockey Instagram page, the Thomas students section can be seen holding up their cell phones and using the built-in flashlight as a way to help light up the darkness at the Webster Ice Arena.
The game was in the second period when the outage happened. It happened as high winds continued to cause outages and incidents across the Rochester area Saturday.
