HURON, N.Y. (WHEC)— State Police say a Webster man is facing multiple charges including assault after troopers say he shot a guy he knew while at a campground Thursday night.
Troopers arrested 25-year-old Ryan Ange in connection to the shooting.
Police went to the scene at the Lake Bluff Campground in the Town of Huron just before 8 p.m. for a call of a man shot. When police got there they found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital but is expected to survive.
Troopers say Ange confronted the other man and then shot him. He was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Ange was taken to the Wayne County Jail. Police say this was an isolated incident, but they are asking anyone that may have information about the shooting to contact them at (585) 398-4100.
