ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The White House is pushing back on the report that says the President plans to forgive $10,000 in student loans per borrower.
It says contrary to what the Washington Post reported, no decision has been made yet.
When the story broke, advocates of student loan forgiveness blasted the President, saying he needs to cancel at least $50,000 per borrower.
A White House spokesman says although a decision has not been made, no one has had to pay a dime of student loans since the president took office.
