Wickham Farms ‘Spreads the Sunshine’ at Golisano Children’s Hospital

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) — Wickham Farms partnered with Golisano Children’s Hospital and Panera Bread’s Penfield location to arrange and deliver more than 150 sunflower bouquets to the hospital as part of its “Spread the Sunshine” event Wednesday.

Wickham Farms started doing it five years ago when it hosted its first Sunflower Spectacular Festival.

More than 30 volunteers cut more than 1,000 sunflowers and arranged bouquets so that patients, their families, and staff at the Golisano Children’s Hospital can enjoy them.

Panera Bread suppled food. The jars for the bouquets were provided by The Pirate Toy Fund, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Wickham Farms, and the Wickham Farms CSA this year.
