Woman hit, killed by car on Norton Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 77-year-old woman is dead after police say she was hit by a car on Norton Street.
It happened at around 8 p.m. Wednesday near the North Goodman Street and Norton Street intersection.
Police say she was seriously injured when they arrived, and she was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead after attempts to save her life.
Police say the driver stayed and cooperated with their investigation, and at this time, no criminal charges are being filed.
