Woman hospitalized after shooting on Scio Street

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department said a woman is being hospitalized after being shot on Scio Street at 10:45 p.m. on Thursday.
According to a statement from the police union Locust Club, the woman was standing outside a church when a car drove by and fired at least 7 shots. When police were at Rochester General Hospital for an unrelated call, they found the 24-year-old woman who had a gunshot wound.
RPD said she was brought to the hospital by car and is expected to survive. RPD’s investigation into the shooting brought officers to Scio Street, just north of the Inner Loop. They have no suspects.
