Yellow Alert dropped as conditions improve

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— The First Alert weather team will be dropping the Yellow Alert for the region as the heaviest of the rain begins to pull out of Western NY.

Occasional showers will be possible through the rest of the afternoon, but the big thing we will notice through the rest of the day besides drier weather will be the drop in dew points.

Fall air will rush into our region and dew points drop into the upper 40s tonight. This is also the beginning of a cooler stretch of weather for our region as the majority of the next 7 days will be below average with highs in the 60s.

After today our next impactful weather maker may be Sunday as another cold front swings in from Canada with a few showers and breezy conditions
