Yellow Alert: Strongest storms moving away
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Our Yellow Alert will expire at midnight, as the greatest severe storm threat lifts north.
Our storms have been riding along a warm front lifting through WNY, and that is now lifting north over Lake Ontario. The storm threat will briefly diminish tonight, before picking up again Saturday morning with the arrival of a cold front.
The severe storm threat is much lower on Saturday, but still expect some thunder and heavy rain in the morning. Meteorologist Alex Bielfeld will have updates starting at 6AM on News10NBC Today.
