YMCA cutting some preschool programs due to staffing shortages
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The YMCA of Greater Rochester is cutting some of its preschool programs due to staffing shortages.
Chief Operating Officer Kevin Fitzpatrick said the Bayview and Eastside YMCAs have canceled preschool this fall.
Full-day programs are not impacted.
Fitzpatrick sent the following statement to News10NBC: "It is the YMCA of Greater Rochester’s mission to provide services for all. However, we are not immune to the incredible staffing crisis many organizations in our community, and beyond, are facing right now."
