9th monkeypox case detected in Monroe County

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC has an update on the monkeypox situation in Monroe County.
Another case has been detected. This brings the total number of cases here to nine. More than 3,200 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed statewide since the outbreak started.
Cases of the virus are declining in New York and across the country, and there are enough vaccines for those eligible.
Seneca County is the only other county in our area to report a confirmed case.
