ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Sunday’s Buffalo Bills win against the Seattle Seahawks gave Bills Mafia plenty of reasons to dance in the street and many did just that at a block party in Rochester’s East End.

A sea of blue and red took over the area of East Avenue and Alexander Street. The party kicked off at noon ahead of the 4:05 p.m. kickoff, featuring music, food, and giant TVs for fans to watch the game. Fans say this was a one-of-a-kind experience to root for their team in such a large crowd with fans from across the area.

“It’s giving an opportunity to everyone here in Rochester to come out, be outside, be in the cold, and root for the Bills,” Bills fan Lexi Popovici said.

“We don’t come downtown as much as we used to. So a friend of ours got a ticket and told us about it and we loved coming down. It’s great to see downtown Rochester and have a good time,” Bills fan Carleen Schmittendorf said.

Proceeds from the party also help support local nonprofits, with $1 from every ticket sold going to the Wilmott Cancer Institute. The Bills beat the Seahawks 31-10 and will take on the division rivals the Miami Dolphins next Sunday.
