Man accused of assaulting his girlfriend with knife on Hazelwood Terrace

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is charged with assault after Rochester Police said he cut his girlfriend with a knife during a fight on Hazelwood Terrace near Denver Street.

Officers responded on Sunday just before midnight and found the 43-year-old woman with a minor cut to the hand. Officers then entered a home and took the boyfriend, 49, into custody.

The woman was taken to Strong Hospital for treatment.
