Man recovering after shooting in Joseph Ave area

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 23-year-old man is recovering after being shot around Joseph Avenue and Kelly Street on Wednesday.
Rochester Police responded around 1:45 a.m. after getting reports of a shooting and found the injured man. He was taken to Strong Hospital by ambulance to treat his upper body gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.
RPD is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 911.
