ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man was rushed into surgery after a stabbing on Bardin Street on Wednesday morning. Rochester Police say they detained a man in his 20s while investigating into the stabbing.

Officers responded to the stabbing around 7:30 a.m. and found the man in his 30s stabbed in the upper body. The man was taken to Strong Hospital with serious injures.

Rochester Police Lt. Greg Bello said the victim and the person detained knew each other and a dispute led to the stabbing.

“This isn’t some random incident of a stabbing that occurred out here. This is two people that had some sort of dispute amongst themselves and ultimately that led to one person being stabbed very seriously in the upper body.”
