ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man who pleaded guilty to murder is facing 20 years to life in state prison.
A judge sentenced Nicholas Deleon in Monroe County Court on Thursday. He was convicted of the shooting death of Christian Santiago in October of last year.
Police say Deleon shot and killed the 19-year-old when the two got into an argument.
Deleon was dating Santiago’s mother at the time. The next day police say Deleon fired at least two rounds at officers while a passenger in a car. That gun was eventually recovered after being thrown out of the car window.
