Officers apply tourniquet to Dewey Avenue shooting victim
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police officers had to apply a tourniquet to control the bleeding after a man in his 20s was shot on Dewey Avenue near Felix Street overnight.
The shooting happened just after 11:15 p.m. on Monday. An ambulance took the man to Strong Hospital to treat his lower-body gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.
RPD is asking anyone with information to call 911.
