Rochester man arrested on gun and drug charges

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man was arrested on gun and drug charges, according to an announcement made by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross.
The U.S. attorney says Christian Cruz of Rochester had a loaded gun while selling cocaine and crack cocaine.
Cruz is also suspected of having fentanyl and heroin. He was arrested back on Aug 2.
Investigators say he reached for his gun when approached by officers. Those officers were able to quickly grab his arms to stop him.
The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $1,000,000 fine.
