Rochester Public Library looking for people to serve on board for Black history and culture

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Public Library is looking for 10 community members to serve on its advisory board to develop an archive of Black History and Culture.
Members of the board will document, preserve, and improve access to the Local Black History Collections Project. The goal is to create an online historical database.

The city said that ideal candidates should be active in the community and passionate about documenting and sharing local Black history. The board will work under the direction of Rochester Public Library staff.
