RPD: Car crashes after running red light on East Avenue and Chestnut Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say two cars collided on East Avenue and Chestnut Street when one of them went through a red light on Wednesday.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. They say the car that ran the red light, driven by a 22-year-old woman, was traveling down Chesnut Street. The other car traveling down East Avenue, driven by a 34-year-old woman, had a green light.
The 22-year-old driver was taken to Rochester General Hospital for complaints of pain and the two passengers in her car were not injured. The driver received multiple tickets including for driving without a license, registration, or insurance. The 34-year-old in the other car wasn’t injured.
