New restaurants coming to Thruway service areas
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — New food options are coming to service areas on the New York State Thruway.
Starting July 29, 10 rest stops will close for construction, including the ones in Clifton Springs, Pembroke and Junius Ponds.
You’ll still be able to get gas at these locations during construction.
It’s part of a $450 million project to redevelop all 27 service areas on the Thruway.
When work is completed, the Thruway Authority says the new restaurants will include: Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Panera, Popeye’s, and Panda Express.
