Troopers: Man dead after car hits him in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man is dead after New York State Police say he was hit by a car in Hopewell, Ontario County Sunday night.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Routes 5 & 20 and County Road 10.
Troopers say Rauly Pesante-Davila, 42, of Canandaigua was along the west side of the road when he was hit. He was taken to FF Thompson Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Troopers say the driver did not appear to be impaired. The crash is still under investigation.
