390 flyover ramp to open to traffic Friday morning

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — Drivers in Western Monroe County are in for a break. The 390 flyover ramp will finally open to traffic Friday morning.
It’s part of the 390-490 Interchange Project in Gates that’s the New York State Department of Transportation has been working on for years.
It’s supposed to reduce congestion by letting cars travel over the interchange and avoid merging vehicles.
The exit and entrance ramps have also been upgraded.
The remaining paving, signage and lighting should be finished by the end of the year.
