ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — On Christmas Eve 2020, City Blue Imaging lost its building on Scio Street to a massive fire.
A year later, the company has a lot to celebrate.
City Blue is still working out of a temporary office, which is also on Scio Street, while its new home next door is being renovated.
The company collaborated with artist Shawn Dunwoody to create more mural art.
Thursday night, the imaging team popped champagne at the site of the fire to remember how far they’ve come.
"We felt a real need to bounce back as quickly as possible and again through the efforts of vendors who supported us, the community who supported us, most importantly our team, just the resilience of each member of our staff was really incredible," said John Mealey, the president.
The company hopes to be operating out of its new location by February or March.
City Blue Imaging turned 95 years old this year.
