Culver Ridge Plaza suing Regal Cinema for back rent, walking away from lease

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The owners of the Culver Ridge Plaza in Irondequoit are suing Regal Cinema for back rent and walking away from its lease.
The Regal Theater on East Ridge Road shut down in March of 2020, at the start of the pandemic, just like all the other movie theaters in town, but it never reopened.
The lawsuit claims the theater’s lease runs through June 30 of this year, and therefore regal breached its lease agreement.
