Former Rochester City Council vice president serving 18-month prison sentence

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Former city council vice president Adam McFadden is serving his sentence in the United States Penitentiary, Lewisburg Pennsylvania after turning himself in this week.

McFadden was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for fraud back in February and ordered to pay $265,528 in restitution to Rochester Housing Charities, the Internal Revenue Service and Quad A For Kids, where he was a former executive director.

He signed a plea agreement in October 2019 acknowledging that he falsified, fabricated, and lied on more than 60 invoices and receipts to steal more than $131,000.

McFadden also pleaded guilty to wire and tax fraud charges in April 2019, admitting to concocting a scheme to get paid for work he didn’t do or barely did and lying on his taxes.
