Gates Police: Man arrested, car seized with parachute, after ‘drag race’

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gates Police say an Orleans County man is under arrest for drag racing in the town.
It happened Sunday night when police say they seized a 1989 Ford Mustang on Elmgrove Road, while another car got away.
The 32-year-old man from Holley was then arrested. Officers say his car was race track ready and not street legal, with a parachute on the back, and no hood.
Police warned drivers not to drag race in the town.
