ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Ogden Police say a video taken inside a minivan before and during a deadly crash Sunday morning is now being used as evidence.
Police told News10NBC Investigative Reporter Jennifer Lewke the video was taken by one of the children of Jennie Clark, who is facing several charges, including murder, in connection with her husband’s death in the crash.
Ogden Police Chief Chris Mears says Clark, 42, was driving her family home at around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, when she crossed into the wrong lane, striking a utility pole on Colby Street near Union Street.
A section of the pole landed on the car, killing 43-year-old Matthew D. Clark instantly. Three children with ages ranging from 8-13 were also in the car at the time of the crash but were not hurt. Jennie Clark was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Mears says alcohol, speed, and reckless driving all played a role in the crash.
Clark was arrested and arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree vehicular manslaughter, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, reckless driving, three counts of aggravated DWI with a child (Leandra’s Law), DWI, and several traffic infractions.
Clark is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
Police have not released further information as to what was in the video.
The pole that the van crashed into is on Bryan Murphy’s property. He was watching TV when the crash happened.
"When I realized there was pinned or up against where the telephone pole was facing towards our house, I ran out," Murphy said.
Murphy’s Ring camera shows him running to the scene. A camper in his driveway was blocking the view of the crash.
"After I ran out, I was heading towards the pole and the car was up together with the pole and the car was facing back towards our house," Murphy said.
Murphy said by the time he arrived, Matthew Clark was dead and his wife and three children were on the grass next to the minivan.
