YMCA of Greater Rochester president and CEO retiring

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The president and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is retiring.

George Romell has led "The Y" since 1998.

Monday he announced he’ll retire in December.

Romell said he still has a lot to do before the end of the year, but after 47 years, it’s time for a new chapter.

The board said a transition committee will start searching for the next president and CEO.
