ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC celebrates Black History Month by honoring the people and places that have paved the way for many in the Rochester area.
Trenton Jackson, known as TJ, was one of the nation’s top sprinters in the early 1960s.
He graduated from Rochester’s Franklin High School and was a member of the 1964 U.S. Olympic team in the 100-meter dash.
He went on to play in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins.
Jackson taught and coached in the Rochester City School District for more than 30 years.
