ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. Four p.m. was the deadline for the Bills to elevate players from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
They did that with running back Duke Johnson and cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Any other week, Bills Mafia would probably look right over this.
But this week is different. It’s actually more about who was not elevated from the practice squad. That player would be Matt Barkley. And because he wasn’t, it leads us to the almost certain fact that Josh Allen will start Sunday against the Vikings.
The official report still lists No. 17 as questionable, but with the Bills only rostering two quarterbacks on Sunday, that questionable comes with the glass half full.
