Rochester Red Wings break 19-game losing streak
ROCHESTER, NY (WHEC) – The Rochester Red Wings broke their 19-game losing streak on Thursday with a 5-4 win over the Norfolk Tides.
The losing streak started all the way back on July 16 with a 4-1 loss at Omaha. Nearly an entire calendar month later, and the Red Wings are out of the rut.
Jake Noll had the biggest imprint on Thursday’s win, blasting a two-run shot to left field and finishing the game with a pair of hits and three RBIs.
Logan Verrett picked up his fifth win of the season after putting up a strong outing in relief with four hits and just one earned run across five innings pitched.
The Red Wings and Tides will meet for game four of the series on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
