ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — As the NFL preseason nears, there are two major announcements concerning the Buffalo Bills: Star quarterback Josh Allen will not be playing in the first pre-season game this Friday and masks will be required in indoor areas and enclosed spaces at Highmark Stadium for everyone.
Wednesday Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott announced while Allen will not play against the Lions in Detroit, some starters will still play. The game starts at 7 p.m.
The Bills just signed Allen to a six-year extension worth $258 million.
The Erie County Health Department also announced it will require guests to wear masks for indoor areas and other enclosed spaces at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, regardless of their vaccination status, including fans, staff and vendors. This includes indoor club levels, concourses, suites and restrooms.
