ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Bivona Child Advocacy Center announced a new program aimed at protecting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Bivona says children with intellectual and developmental disabilities are 3.4 times more likely to be sexually abused than children without disabilities.

The Child Advocacy Group will work with the Monique Burr foundation to develop a curriculum to educate and empower children with strategies to prevent bullying and other types of child abuse.
