ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Part of the New York State budget for the next fiscal year, $45 million of taxpayer money, will be given out to support the arts.
Most of that money is going to organizations in New York City but several of the recipients are here in the Finger Lakes and Rochester.
The Borinquen Dance Theatre, Chinese School of Rochester, and Blackfriars Theatre are some of the local recipients. The announcement comes after the governor gave out another $32 million in grants for the arts in October.
