ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In memory of the terror attacks on 911, the Rochester Blue Star Mothers held their annual 911 blood drive Saturday.
It was held in conjunction with the Red Cross at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Their organization is made up of mothers and grandmothers of active duty and former military members.
“Being the mothers and grandmothers of active duty and honorably discharged service members we know how important blood donations are. We have children in combat and overseas, so we know that blood supply for them is critical as well as supporting our community,” said Susan Louis, Rochester Blue Star Mother.
