GREECE, N.Y. – A boy, 7, was now in guarded condition on Friday evening after he was hit by a U-Haul while crossing West Ridge Road near Corona Road in Greece.

It happened just after 3 p.m. on Thursday. Greece Police say he was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Greece Police have shared how it happened: they say an adult was crossing West Ridge Road with multiple children, against a green light. Police say they were not in a crosswalk. they say the 7-year-old ran into the eastbound lanes and was hit by the U-Haul. The truck stayed on scene, and charges are not expected against the driver.
